Our Club was formed in 1958 and is one of the oldest established and most recognized under the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Our flying field is located between Hummelstown and Middletown, PA, just off the North Union Street exit of Interstate 283. It is called Creamery Field and is located in secluded bottomland below an industrial park.
KRCS membership is a group of active modelers with a wide range of interests including sport, scale, pattern, 3D, giant scale aircraft and helicopters. Our power choices are divided among gas, glow fuel and electric and some members hold Private to Commercial pilot licenses for full scale aircraft. KRCS has a strong group of Instructors and instructing both new flyers and those wishing to achieve a higher certificated rating is a club priority.
We host monthly membership meetings at the Hidden Hangar at 5450 Derry Street in Harrisburg at 7:00 PM on the first Monday of each month and welcome members and visitors. Come to a meeting or to the field and let us show you how simple it is to get started and what fun the sport can bring into your life.

The Club is governed by ByLaws, Field and Membership rules that are directed by the Officers/Board Members with approval of voting members. Officers are nominated and elected on an annual basis, and serve a 1 year term. Board Members are nominated and elected as their terms expire and serve for 2 years.
